Mindfulness, Body-Centered, Creativive Therapies

Mindfulness, Body-Centered and Creativity-Based Practices

Being in the present moment with authentic inquiry is the most effective way to develop new neural pathways that will lead to real change and healing from anxiety, depression and PTSD.  Tanya will help you listen to your body, emotions and intuition to understand more deeply whom you are and how to transform. Through mindfulness techniques, Guided Imagery, creative expression, such as Art Therapy and creative writing, and body-centered practices, such as EMDR, Resource Tapping and Somatic Experiencing, you will come to know yourself on a deeper level through the living experience of your own inner landscape of sensation and emotion. These effective techniques allow access to your own true awareness, higher wisdom and direct experience rather than living from old limiting beliefs about you.

Trauma-Informed Practices

Trauma-Informed Practices

We live in stressful times. Almost everybody has experienced and been affected by some form of trauma, whether big or small. These traumas can build over time and cause dysregulation of the nervous system, that may attribute to dysfunctional ways of being in the world. These behaviors subsequently often lead to a great degree of stress in life and contribute to unhealthy relationships. TIP focuses on establishing safety through self-regulation, something survivors of trauma, struggle greatly with. Our physical bodies remember trauma and ingrain those memories in a sensory-oriented way, inaccessible through word-based therapy. Tanya can effectively and efficiently help you release the patterns and symptoms of trauma (PTSD) through techniques such as EMDR, Resource Tapping, Somatic Experiencing and Art Therapy.

Nature-Inspired Practices

Nature-Inspired Practices

Tanya draws upon traditional indigenous wisdom, eco-psychology, eco-therapy, the body-mind-spirit connection, ritual, ceremony and creative practices to help cultivate a sense of belonging and connection within. Whether indoors journeying (Modern Shamanic Practices) or outdoors experiencing the wisdom of horses (Equine-Assisted Therapy) or communing with plants and trees in the great outdoors, Tanya can help you find your current circumstances reflected in the natural world and inspire you to have a deeper understanding of your life as part of the natural cycles of change. No matter what you are going through, something in nature has knowledge of it and can offer guidance through it. As a result, you will come to know your interconnectedness with all life and find that you are never truly alone.

Over the last 7 months, Tanya has helped me change my perspective on my life. She has introduced me to several tools that I can use to maintain personal balance and good self-image. I’ve learned that my happiness and my family are the most important things in my life. I’ve learned that I have the power within to transform any challenge that I may come face-to-face with. Thank you, Tanya and to the Horses, for being so wonderful, compassionate and wise. I’ve been so blessed to have had you as my guides.
